Today’s farmers embrace the latest standards in animal handling, health and care. In the summer heat, extra ventilation fans, water and shade are provided to keep animals comfortable.  In the winter, many barns are tightly closed to block out frigid temperatures. Livestock animals always have access to adequate food, water and medical care to protect their health, and farmers work with nutritionists to provide them with balanced diets.
