It’s still the same Farmers CARE site—just with a new look and updated information. Check out our new videos in How Farmers CARE. Look for kids’ activities in the Learn More section. We still strive to provide information directly from Michigan farmers, straight to the consumer, showcasing how fantastic Michigan agriculture truly is. We want to show you what farmers do on a daily basis to ensure we have safe, healthy food to eat; fuel for transportation, electricity and heat; and fiber for our clothes and home furnishings—all while being good stewards of the environment and caring for their animals.

Our state is actually the 7th largest producers of poinsettias, keeping our greenhouse industry thriving in the midst of winter. Click to read the Farm Fresh Food blog.
This year Michigan Farm Bureau and the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) teamed up to host the ‘Share How You Care’ Video Contest. There were several video submissions, all depicting how Michigan agriculturalists and farmers care. The contest ran from May 2 to September 2, 2011. Our judges selected three videos to receive prizes. See the winning videos below.
